We have high expectations for behaviour at St Joseph's and use a restorative approach that we believe is true to our Catholic faith.
We want our students to be able to forgive and be forgiven, to make mistakes and learn from them and to recognise that their choices impact all those around them.
Restorative Justice as a school focuses on developing, maintaining and repairing relationships.
Our Veritas School Guidelines
We seek to build quality relationships with each other by:
- Following instructions and staying on task
- Respecting each other's rights to learn by following our class treaty
- Showing we care for others by speaking and listening with respect
- Making positive choices
Each class follows an individual class treaty. A copy is sent home. Restorative community conferences take place for extreme behaviour concerns. A parent information flyer with more details is available from the office.
